VIVIR Café VS launches at Waitrose | Recipes to try

Testament to the growing popularity and demand for premium Tequila options in the UK, we are excited to announce that you can now pick up your favourite bottle of VIVIR Tequila at Waitrose stores nationwide. VIVIR Tequila Blanco, Reposado and Añejo are available in an increased number stores and VIVIR Café VS has been introduced to shelves!

Here are some of our favourite recipes to make with VIVIR Café VS!

 

Espresso Martini

Two espresso martini cocktails garnished with coffee beans
  • 30ml VIVIR Tequila Blanco
  • 20ml VIVIR Café VS
  • 50ml Fresh Espresso
  • 10ml Agave Syrup
  • Pinch of salt (optional)
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Shake until cold.
  3. Strain into a chilled martini glass.
  4. Garnish with a couple of roasted coffee beans.

 


 

Mexican Coffee

  • 200ml Strong espresso coffee
  • 50ml VIVIR Café VS
  • 30ml Cream or plant based alternative
  1. Brew an espresso coffee.
  2. Pour the VIVIR Café VS into the cup.
  3. Pour the espresso into the cup.
  4. Whip the cream.
  5. Pour gently into the cup so that it sits on top of the coffee.

 


 

VIVIR Tiramisu

A tiramisu dessert is positioned on a table next to a portion on a small plate
  • 400ml double cream
  • 250g mascarpone
  • 75ml Marsala
  • 5 tbsp golden caster sugar
  • 300ml freshly-brewed espresso (made with 2 tbsp coffee granules and 300ml boiling water)
  • 2 tbsp VIVIR Café VS
  • 175g sponge fingers
  • 25g dark chocolate
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  1. Put the double cream, mascarpone, marsala and sugar into a large bowl.

  2. Whisk until the cream and mascarpone have completely combined and have the consistency of thickly whipped cream.

  3. Pour the coffee and Café VS into a shallow dish.

  4. Dip a few sponge fingers at a time, turning for a few seconds until they are nicely soaked, but not soggy.

  5. Layer these into a dish until you've used half of the sponge fingers.

  6. Using a spoon, spread half of the creamy layer on top.

  7. Using the coarse side of a grater, grate most of the dark chocolate.

  8. Repeat the layers, using all of the coffee and finish with the creamy layer.

  9. Cover and chill for a few hours (or overnight). It will keep in the fridge for up to two days.

  10. To serve, dust with cocoa powder and grate over the remainder of the chocolate.

 


 

Café Ice Cream

  • A couple of scoops of premium vanilla and/or chocolate ice cream
  • 50ml VIVIR Café VS
  1. Soften some vanilla ice cream in the fridge before scooping into an ice cream bowl.
  2. Generously drizzle VIVIR Café VS over the ice cream and serve.
